Happy Easter!

Double Blog Entry!!! Ashley came over to die Easter eggs with me! I hadn’t done this since I was little, so I thought it would be fun to do it again. We had a really good time and even took pictures for everyone else to enjoy!

It’s been a while since I’ve made really cute cupcakes and what better reason than for my “lovely” co-workers for Easter! It was also a great reason to try the mini cupcakes I’ve been wanting to make. After all was said and done I ended up with 97 mini cupcakes! Plenty to take to work and some leftover for home and friends. They are milk chocolate and white cake with green vanilla buttercream icing topped off with Hershey Solid Milk Chocolate Eggs.

You made my day!

I was chosen by Melissa at Made by Melissa for the “You Make My Day” award! Melissa is my WC Sis on the Nest cooking boards and I love her new blog! I’ve gotten many ideas for dinner from her blog and I really enjoy reading all of her new entries.

I read so many blogs on a daily basis that make my day, but I will try to narrow it down 🙂

I really enjoy all of your blogs ladies!

Bear or Pig?

On Friday night I went to Mom’s house to get my hair done and was staying the night so that we could go visit my grandmother for her birthday on Saturday. While catching up on some of our favorite Food Network shows we decided to try and make figures out of fondant. Just like playing with playdoh, right? I always see these intricate figures on some cakes and I really want to learn to make them, but for now I am happy with just experimenting…

My figure is the pink and purple bear. Mom’s figure started out as a bear, but as it progressed we both thought it looked more like a pig 🙂 It was fun either way and I learned that I definitely need more practice!
